Hi, I’m Whitney!
I'm a women's coach and mentor, artist, intuitive healer, singer and writer. I've spent my life in creative work and in the study of what makes women come alive.
Through my own healing and the thresholds I've crossed along the way, I now support other women in returning to themselves — to their creativity, their aliveness, and the life they actually want to be living.
I'm glad you're here.
A bit more of my story…
My work lives at the intersection of creativity, nourishment, self-trust, and becoming parasympathetic dominant (a nervous system that no longer runs on a stress response). I have over two decades of experience in integrative wellness, psychology, food as medicine, somatic practice, and the healing arts. I believe that when a woman returns to herself, to her rhythms, her creativity, her joy, everything changes for the better. For herself, and for those she touches. Women coming alive is one of the most beautiful things to witness, and it’s our birthright.
Through my own work over many years, I've gone from self-abandonment to self-trust. From being over responsible for everyone else's emotional and mental labor to continually practicing doing what's mine to do. From trying to fix how others feel to letting people have their own experiences. From hypervigilance to feeling genuinely safe in my own body. From not trusting myself or my own knowing, to trusting my intuition completely. From being afraid to speak up to using my voice with confidence. From doubting my gifts to fully claiming them.
To feeling deep down that things are ok…even when they aren't ideal.
The journey between all these points are non-linear and come in many forms and moments. It has been my path to true health. And it doesn't have to be as hard as we often think, or require as much effort. But it does often require support.
I'm passionate about helping women come out of stress response brain and body patterns (where most of us live) and to function optimally in the way their body was designed to do. I no longer believe we need to go deep into our emotions, dig up the past, or heal our inner child. The more we come into present time and update our brain and body map, our nervous system naturally realizes we are not under threat and does the work for us to come into a parasympathetic state — rest and digest, essentially not in survival mode. The rest comes with it.
We no longer need to manage everything by doing all the practices, getting all the treatments, understanding everything, meditating our way out of pain, healing all our parts, or figuring everything out. In fact, so much of that effort is a symptom of the fight-or-flight brain at work. I found that life becomes much more easeful and simpler when we stop trying to manage everything, even our own attempts at happiness!
I have a formal background in Psychology, continual training in nervous system health (a very different kind than what's floating around on the internet), food as medicine, and intuitive coaching. I'm passionate to help clients midwife their own creativity, intuition, and nourishment in relationship to themselves and their lives. I work 1:1 with women who are ready to stop putting their creative lives last, and bring their ideas into the world.
I am also the co-author of the bestselling book Heart-Centered Leadership, and the founder of Motherwell, a botanical remedy line devoted to women's vitality and nourishment.
